There are several different parts that make-up the ac system. One of those components is the condenser. It basically is the part of the system that sits in front of the engine compartment and is responsible for cooling the compressed air that circulates from the evaporator, compressor and the drier. Without this part the air would not properly cool. While in most cases this part is some where in the neighborhood of the AC Compressor some time it is located somewhere else. It is best to know if you have R12 or R134a when replacing this part.
