AC Assembly Complete This component is really talking about the entire system that makes up your car or trucks air conditioning assembly. Its not just one component like the compressor but rather the entire system from the AC Evaporator , AC Condensor , compressor, ac lines, Heater AC Control , vents, computer module etc. To replace your entire assembly would normally not be needed unless you did not have Ac to begin with. If you are looking to make a non-ac car into AC you would want to purchase the main components either used or aftermarket then buy the smaller less expensive items new as these tend to not work well when removed from a vehicle and shipped.
AC Condensor There are several different parts that make-up the ac system. One of those components is the condenser. It basically is the part of the system that sits in front of the engine compartment and is responsible for cooling the compressed air that circulates from the evaporator, compressor and the drier. Without this part the air would not properly cool. While in most cases this part is some where in the neighborhood of the AC Compressor some time it is located somewhere else. It is best to know if you have R12 or R134a when replacing this part.
AC Condensor Fan The fan that is used to cool the AC Condensor.
AC Compressor Your car, truck or suv's ac compressor is the primary part of the cooling system that helps cool the air that comes through the interior vents in your cars. Its a mechanical device around 15lbs that has a round pulley on it that is driven by your vehicles engine rotation. A belt is attached to the pulley and that allows it to turn, forcing air through the Freon filled chambers that will cool and dehumidify the warm outside air. This freon is under charge or pressure and in the event a leak comes up the freon will evaporate out and the cooling process stops. At this point sometimes your cars compressor can limp along with frequent re-charges of Freon but this can get expensive and ultimately never solve the problem. Various auto parts stores like ours can provide you with a Used OEM, aftermarket or rebuilt compressor to get your car back cool like you need it!
AC Compressor Clutch The clutch is simply a device attached to the AC Compressor that aids in the consistent engagement of the AC Compressor cycle. Without this part your compressor would not know when to cut on or off thus leaving an out of balance cycle and your vehicle's interior temperature would not be consistent or comfortable. The clutch is the most vital part on the AC Compressor. So whether you want to stay cool in the heat of the day or just want to ride in style keep checking the integrity of this part or just recharge the freon.
AC Evaporator The AC Evaporator is a small part that cools and removes moisture from your air, keeping you nice and comfortable while the air outside is quite the opposite. It is generally located behind the dashboard of your vehicle. A refridgerant is used by this part to chill hot air before it is blown into your car, as well as to condense any unwanted vapor passing through. The liquid is then drained out of the bottom of your car; don't worry, this is safe. And voila, what was just hot, sticky, and uncomfortable air is now at your exact specifications!
